Catching Shadows children's book design
Catching Shadows, written by Heather Monica, is a children's book specializing in tactile stimulation, geared towards medically fragile children with sensory disorders, such as Cortical Vision Impairment. With this in mind, the illustrations were created in a simplified, high contrast style and numbers designed to encase fabrics and textured materials. The dialogue offers the reader compassion, strength and inspiration. This book can also benefit children ages 1-4, experiencing their developmental stepping stones.
